Tiner Properties is a 3-generation family business – started by his parents in 1976.

John joined the family business in 1987 and has grown the company from 40 rentals to well over 1350 currently. John has earned the designation of GRI (Graduate of Real Estate Institute) and is an Outstanding Life Member of the Masters Club.

With nearly 4 decades of experience, John has become an expert in all aspects of property management, investment properties, and real estate sales. John regularly testifies as an expert witness in court and is a regular guest speaker for Realtor and Investor groups, sharing his expertise with other Real Estate professionals. In addition, he has been a continuing member of NARPM (National Association of Residential Property Managers) since 1994.

As CEO, John maintains the Tiner culture of respect, professionalism, and excellence within his team, signs up new accounts, and sells investment real estate. He spends a considerable amount of time reading legal blogs and developing best practices for the management team. 

John especially appreciates working with his parents and his wife, Jenny, in the family business. When he is not working, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his grandchildren and twin stepsons, woodworking, and playing racquetball & pickleball.

Susan’s 4 decades of experience in professional property management prepared her to lead the Tiner team as an expert mentor for our Executive Property Managers and President of Operations for the Company. 

Susan's broad range of skills and talents includes great judgment, a strong work ethic, a brilliant legal mind, and outstanding leadership abilities. Her understanding of property management and best practices for property management are top-notch. Susan also understands construction, and project maintenance in depth. She has a talent for understanding both sides of a situation while keeping the client's best interest in mind. Tiner Property Management is very thankful to have Susan as President of Operations for our team.

While she is not working, Susan spends her time enjoying the outdoors and her pets.

Jenny (John Tiner’s wife) has been in the real estate industry since 1997 but her love of investment real estate started when she bought her first duplex at the age of 19.

She worked as a Transaction Coordinator for a local Real Estate office with over 80 Realtors while obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Sacramento State. Jenny began her professional work life reviewing contracts for Hewlett Packard. Having twin boys changed her life when she got her real estate license in 2004 which allowed her more flexibility to be present with her growing twins. She continued to grow her real estate portfolio purchasing (and managing) multiple income properties and gained experienced flipping houses as well.  

In 2009, Jenny started working at Tiner Properties. She has successfully helped over 400 Buyers, Sellers, and Investors with their real estate needs. Her Outstanding Life Masters Club designation places her in the top 2% of all Realtors. Jenny knows what it takes to market homes most appealingly with an ever-changing online market presence including great photographs, attractive property descriptions, and great marketing strategies. Jenny is an expert negotiator and fantastic communicator and keeps clients well-informed throughout the entire marketing and escrow process. Her clients always receive an extremely high level of experience and professionalism. Jenny is also a vital member of the Tiner Leadership Team in Business Development and an Operations & Financial Specialist.

When Jenny is not working, she enjoys traveling, living an active lifestyle (Peloton champion), spending time with her husband & game nights at home with her twin sons.

She was promoted to the Leasing Department where she used her customer service and communication skills on a daily basis. Holly soon advanced to Assistant Property Manager and the Executive Property Manager. Holly is an outstanding trainer and procedures expert. Her natural attention to detail helped her become the Head of our bookkeeping department - the position she likes best. Because she has successfully filled all positions in the company, she was an obvious choice to be Vice President of Operations. 

Holly is dedicated and organized in her work and always keeps a smile on her face. In her spare time, she enjoys being a twin Mom, a loving wife, and a Disney enthusiast. 

Brandi Underwood’s foundation of conducting business is built on dedication, communication, and trust. She combines her passion for helping others along with a genuine interest in serving the local community.

Before joining the Tiner team as our Business Development Manager, (BDM), Brandi had already established herself as an outstanding and highly productive Realtor with property management experience. As our onboarding specialist, she understands that for many people and families, this is one of the largest investments they will have in a lifetime and ensures the process is easy to digest and as stress-free as possible.

Brandi strives to deliver the best possible experience from start to finish, with each and every client. She attributes that to being 100% open, honest, and transparent with everyone she interacts with. 

When Brandi is not working she enjoys spending time with her family in nature and working on home improvement projects.

She is an expert in her field and manages her portfolio  utilizing her cheerful demeanor and rapid responses to her client’s needs. Her detail-oriented approach and organized work ethic provides her the ability to handle her properties effectively.

When Amber is not working, she enjoys her family, great friendships and love of her beagle.

Amber specializes in the 80 Corridor from Lincoln to Roseville to Natomas. 

Her recent experience in the mortgage industry added to her attention to detail and organizational skills. Alexis happily returns to property management, where her talents and interest lies. Alexis enjoys adding her expertise to the Tiner Team!

Jennifer Ashton brings over a decade of experience in property management and real estate services, offering clients expert guidance and a sharp eye for detail. Her commitment to excellence ensures properties are managed with care and precision. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, her Australian Shepherd, attending sporting events, traveling and DIY projects.

Her eagerness to learn helped her quickly gain responsibilities and become an administrative assistant. She now is a Property Manager Assistant to Amber. When Aubriana is not working she enjoys painting, going to the beach, and spending time with family. 

Her eagerness to assist others makes her a valuable asset to our team. Amanda is a dedicated and hardworking employee.  Supporting her colleagues, as well as the families settling into their new homes, are her priorities. Amanda is enthusiastic about her position with Tiner Properties, the opportunities presented, and the growth potential. Amanda enjoys spending time with family and friends outside of work, going to the movies, traveling, and attending or watching sports.
