Lincoln is a growing city of more than 57,000 residents, located about 32 miles northeast of Sacramento. Between 2000 and 2020, Lincoln experienced remarkable growth of over 280%, making it one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States during that decade. Today, the city continues to evolve, with ongoing improvements along the Lincoln Boulevard corridor to enhance accessibility, support new-energy vehicles, and beautify the area - once part of historic Highway 65.
Originally planned and settled in 1859, Lincoln’s development took off in 1861 when a railroad connection was completed from Roseville. In the 1870s, the discovery of a large clay formation nearby established Lincoln’s early reputation for pottery production. The city saw another major boom in the late 1990s as the Sacramento region expanded.
Lincoln offers numerous opportunities for entertainment and recreation. It is home to Thunder Valley Casino Resort, the first casino to open in the Sacramento metro area, and the Lincoln Potters, a collegiate baseball team competing in the California Collegiate League.
